The 5 Love Languages

Dr. Gary Chapman, the creator of the Five Love Languages (1995), spent years dissecting the principles behind communicating love. Psychologists are in agreement that the qualitative research collected from over 30 years of marriage counseling points to useful, practical applications from which we can all benefit. He turned this collection of research into the Five Love Languages.

The five love languages are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. Knowing more about the five love languages can help you to notice the ways that your partner is showing their love for you, even if they are not speaking your primary Love Language.
